Promethean is proud to support the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation who are asking you to swap old mobile phones to help them raise money for home nursing care for sick children across Ireland. In exchange, we will donate an interactive whiteboard to your school for every 300 old phones your school community donates!

Set up in 1997 by Jonathan Irwin and his wife Mary Ann O’Brien – MD of Lily O’Brien’s – the charity exists to help young children in Ireland who are born with or develop brain damage and who suffer severe intellectual and physical developmental delay as a result. All we’re asking you to do is send off for one of Jack and Jill’s recycling packs and to start your school recycling old phones. By doing this you can help your local community and equip your school with an interactive whiteboard! You will be:

• supporting sick babies and their families in your community – with 250 old mobile phones buying home nursing care for a sick child for one month
• providing third world countries with ‘new’ mobile phones
• preventing the pollution caused by putting old phones into landfills

What’s more, by participating in this project you can also contribute back to your local community by adding to your school:

• Earn green flag status for your school
• Earn your school a 78” Promethean ActivBoard  for every 300 phones recycled
• Earn your school a 78” Promethean ActivBoard+2  for every 500 phones recycled
